I had called Nielsen’s remodeling to get an estimate on the build back of my bathroom after I had mold remediation completed. The receptionist was sweet and professional and got me scheduled for an estimator to come to my home around 2 weeks after my original inquiry. The estimator was on time but the appointment only went down from there. Before asking me what I had wanted done, or what materials I wanted to use, or my budget, he started asking me about my home insurance policy and pretty much insinuated that I couldn’t afford to do the project. When I told him my out of pocket budget, he told me that the renovation of my 90 square foot bathroom was going to cost 75k-100k again, without asking me what I wanted to have done? I told him that I had gotten estimates from other reputable companies around the area and they were all significantly lower than that estimate. We both mutually decided to end the appointment after that. The estimator was in my home less than 15 minutes. This was probably the most unprofessional estimate I’ve ever had and I would not want to work with a company that speaks to their customers this way.

I highly recommend! From the beginning, Nielsen worked closely with my insurance company to advocate for us. Hope, the decorator, was key in helping us to select the right items for our kitchen. I was very impressed by the project plan that was shared with me and followed. If changes occurred to the plan, we heard from the supervisor. I'm also impressed by the high quality of the work done. Thank you!!

Nielson was very professional as were all of his contractors. Joe was also excellent and kept me well informed each step of the process. The craftsmanship is excellent and I loved the BuildersTrend App for viewing the calendar of work. They finished when they said they would and provided a cleaning service that left our house in great condition upon project completion. Highly recommend

Really, this review is 4.5 stars. Nielsen Painting and Remodeling renovated our master bath. I was impressed with the professionalism of all the personnel who handled each part of the renovation- from the demolition crew and electrician to the tilers, fabricator and painters. Nielsen’s project manager kept us updated throughout the project and was responsive to our questions. Also, the online project management tool was easy to use and understand. I recommend Nielsen Painting and Remodeling for any renovation project.

The work was excellent and efficient and they completely cleaned up at the end of each day. The price was very fair. And they had to make a lot of gingerbread for my Victorian house and did a GREAT job. I was very pleased and am glad to recommend them.
